Terms & Conditions
Terms governing the use of AI Bank Statement Converter, including AI-powered OCR, structured exports, reconciliation workflows, and financial document processing services.
In Simple Terms
- You own your uploaded files and exported data, subject to the license needed to run the service.
- AI and OCR outputs should always be reviewed manually before accounting, tax, or compliance use.
- Abuse, fraud, or illegal activity is prohibited and may result in suspension or termination.
- Subscription plans, limits, and features may change over time with reasonable notice where required.
- The platform is not financial, tax, legal, or audit advice—use qualified professionals when needed.
Overview
AI Bank Statement Converter (“we,” “us,” or “the platform”) provides software and services that help users convert bank statement PDFs, scans, and related financial documents into structured data—such as Excel, CSV, and JSON—for reconciliation, reporting, accounting workflows, and automation.
The service combines OCR, layout-aware extraction, AI-assisted structuring where enabled, and validation-oriented checks (including balance-oriented logic where the source document supports it). The platform is a document-processing tool: it does not replace professional judgment, accounting review, or regulatory advice.
By accessing or using the website, converter, APIs (if offered), or related features, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction and must use the service only for lawful purposes. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You agree to provide accurate account and billing information and to keep credentials secure. You must not misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
Service Description
The platform may include, now or in the future: PDF-to-Excel and related conversion flows; scanned bank statement extraction via OCR; structured CSV, Excel, and JSON exports; reconciliation-oriented workflows (for example, running balance and total checks where supported); bulk or multi-file processing; and API-ready structured outputs where we make such interfaces available.
Specific features, limits, export formats, and processing paths may vary by plan, document type, and product configuration. We may add, modify, or retire features to improve security, accuracy, or reliability. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated service as described in these Terms and on the site.
User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for how you use outputs from the platform. Extracted transactions, balances, dates, and formatted files may require manual correction. You must review all exports before using them in accounting systems, tax filings, audits, loan applications, regulatory submissions, or any decision with financial or legal consequences.
You confirm that you have the right to upload and process each document you submit. You must not use the service to process data you are not authorized to handle.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your own source documents and exports where your internal policies require them.
AI & OCR Accuracy
OCR and AI-assisted extraction depend on scan quality, resolution, compression, skew, handwriting, stamps, watermarks, and bank-specific layouts. Poor-quality images, unusual templates, or password-protected PDFs may reduce accuracy or prevent successful conversion.
Bank and processor format changes can affect table detection, column mapping, and balance validation. Outputs are not guaranteed to be complete, error-free, or identical run-to-run for edge-case documents.
You must independently verify all extracted data—including debits, credits, running balances, and metadata—before relying on it operationally. The platform is not a substitute for human review where your workflow requires it.
Financial Disclaimer
AI Bank Statement Converter is not a bank, credit union, broker-dealer, or money transmitter. We are not an accounting firm, CPA practice, law firm, tax advisor, auditor, or compliance consultant.
Nothing on the platform constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal, audit, or regulatory advice. We do not certify that outputs meet any accounting standard, tax rule, or regulatory filing requirement. You should consult qualified professionals for decisions that depend on such matters.
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to misuse the service. Without limiting other remedies, the following are prohibited:
- Using the platform for fraud, money laundering, illegal financial activity, or concealing unlawful conduct.
- Uploading malware, exploits, or content designed to harm our systems or other users.
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent security, rate limits, or access controls.
- Scraping, automated harvesting of the site, or abusive API use that degrades service for others.
- Reselling or redistributing access in violation of your plan or these Terms.
- Using the service to violate third-party rights or applicable sanctions and export-control laws.
Data Ownership
As between you and us, you retain ownership of documents you upload and structured files you export, subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your financial statement content.
To operate the service, you grant us a limited license to process, host temporarily, and transform your uploads solely to provide the features you request. That license ends when processing and retention practices described in our Privacy Policy allow, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or billing reasons.
Privacy & Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and industry-standard practices to protect uploads and account data. Financial documents may be processed temporarily; retention and deletion are described in our Privacy Policy.
Processing may involve subprocessors (for example, authentication, cloud infrastructure, payment processing, OCR providers). Their roles are summarized in the Privacy Policy. You should read the Privacy Policy alongside these Terms.
See our Privacy Policy for details on retention, encryption, and subprocessors.
Subscription & Billing
Paid plans may be billed on a recurring basis. Fees, page or usage limits, and plan features are described at checkout and on the pricing page. We may introduce fair-use or anti-abuse limits to protect platform stability.
Payments are processed by our billing partner, Paddle (or as otherwise stated at purchase). Card and payment details are handled under Paddle’s terms and privacy practices. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
You may cancel or change plans as described in-product or in Paddle’s customer billing flows. Downgrades may take effect at the next renewal or as otherwise communicated. Unless required by law or stated at purchase, fees already paid are generally non-refundable; chargebacks may result in suspension of access.
Free tiers may have daily or monthly limits and may change with notice. Failure to pay may result in downgrade or loss of paid features.
API Usage
If we offer APIs, SDKs, or automation endpoints, you must comply with documentation, authentication requirements, and rate limits. We may monitor usage for abuse, revoke tokens or keys, throttle requests, or suspend access that threatens security or fair use.
You may not use APIs to bulk-scrape proprietary content, bypass plan limits, or build a competing service that replicates core conversion functionality without our written consent.
Availability
We strive for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages, or security events may cause downtime. Beta or preview features may change or be withdrawn without notice.
Scheduled or emergency maintenance may occur with or without advance notice depending on severity.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Bank Statement Converter and its operators, affiliates, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business interruption—whether based in contract, tort, or otherwise—even if advised of the possibility.
We are not liable for extraction errors, missed or duplicated transactions, incorrect balances, export formatting issues, OCR failures, integration problems with third-party tools, or decisions you make based on platform outputs. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50), except where limitation is prohibited by law.
Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AI Bank Statement Converter and its team from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: your use of the service; your documents or exports; your violation of these Terms or law; your misuse of APIs; or disputes between you and third parties (for example, clients or regulators) related to your use of outputs.
Intellectual Property
The platform, software, branding, logos, documentation, and aggregate content (excluding your uploads) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of our IP.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease our software or proprietary materials except as expressly permitted. Feedback you provide may be used without obligation to you.
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate access—for you or any user—if we reasonably believe there is a violation of these Terms, fraud, security risk, non-payment, or legal requirement. We may also restrict API keys or features associated with misuse.
You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example, by email or in-product message) when practicable.
Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires a different process.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction Placeholder], without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction’s laws, except where prohibited by mandatory consumer protection rules in your country.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in [Venue Placeholder], unless applicable law requires a different forum. You consent to that jurisdiction and venue where permitted.
